School Librarian Position
 
St. Perpetua School in Lafayette, California is seeking to fill a School  
Librarian position for the 2007-2008 school year.  St. Perpetua School is a  K-8 
Catholic School located several blocks from beautiful downtown Lafayette and  
the Lafayette BART Station.  The School has an enrollment of 285 students  and 
offers Library and Information services and classes to students in all  
grades.  The library was recently built as part of  a Library/Technology/Science 
wing to complement the long term plans  for a state-of-the art facility.The 
mission of the St. Perpetua Library program  is to provide library and research 
services to students and faculty of the  school in support of the curriculum and 
goals of the school  community.  Weekly library classes are offered for 
students in all  grades which includes storytime, library and research skills, 
study  hall periods,and collaborative courses with the Technology program.   The 
library is open from 8:00 to 3:20 daily and is available to students at  recess 
and lunch periods as well.
 
Qualifications for this position must include an MLS or Library Media  
Teacher Service Credential although students enrolled in an MLS or  LMTSC program 
will be considered.
