[CALIBK12] Objections to Touching Spirit Bear

Has anyone dealt with any parental objections to "Touching Spirit Bear" by
Ben Mikaelsen?  A sixth grade teacher is using it this year, and a few
parents are "concerned" after only a few chapters.  In the first few
chapters, the protagonist flips someone off.   Vulgar language is alluded
to, but not explicitly referred to. The character has major anger issues and
is violent in behavior. I know from the kids that they like it, and it is
engaging most of them, especially reluctant readers.
