[CALIBK12] NING frustration

Hi Everyone,
I am so frustrated!  I worked hard to complete the Web 2.0 / 23 Things and fell in love with the NING web application.  I created one for my library to facilitate an online book club/discussion forum.  As I went about updating my website and adding the link, I discovered that the district has blocked Ning.com websites.
I don't know that there is a solution, but I wanted to vent.  I am lobbying the Director of Technology and am hopeful that he will reconsider and allow this site to be unblocked.
If you have suggestions or alternative sites, let me know.
