I think the fastest way to increase circulation or use of anything is to ask people not to read or buy it.  Look at the success of "Prohibition."

It seems to involve the Catholic Church suggesting that people not go see the movie.  Does anyone know more about this and what the church's objection is (if it is objecting)?
