          Years ago I attended a Chamber of Commerce event. The school 
district board president spoke for about 15 minutes and then took questions. During 
his talk I was embarrassed because I thought he was telling them stuff any 
breathing citizen would know.   Then came the questions.   With patience he 
answered every one and I sat stunned at what they needed explained.

          The story of schools, and school libraries, must be told over and 
over and over again.   They really have NO idea.
