[CALIBK12] "Learning Center"

 "Learning Center" sounds like a euphemism for the place where remediation takes place.  Like David, I'm proud to be a librarian.  Because our skills and job descriptions continue to expand doesn't mean we have to blur who we are into something unintelligible.  Librarians are learning junkies . . . heck, I think I'd rather be called a learning junkie than a learning center director, which doesn't really describe anything.  Mary Hofmann, Merced

My district calls me a Library Media Teacher.  The sign on
the building says Media
 Center.  The name plate
on my door, purchased by my wonderful wife, says

I will always be a Librarian and proud of it.  As for
changing the name, I think it should stay as “Library”.  Regardless
of the name it should be the focus of reading and learning on campus.
