My sister is in Hong Kong working on a project for a wealthy
philanthropist who is looking to convert her large and historic home into
a museum, or boutique hotel. In her latest e-mail my sister asked if I
knew of any libraries specifically dedicated to children in the U.S..
Does anyone in Calib have the answer?

Here is my sister's description of her visit to a children's library in
Hong Kong:

As an aside, do we have children's libraries in the United States? I
can't remember hearing of one. I've only seen children's sections in
libraries. In China, whole libraries are built just to cater to
children. I was astounded at the number of people using the library on a
Saturday. Hundreds of kids, the youngest accompanied by their parents
filled the four floors of the library. At a newly-built children's
library on the other side of the Pearl River, a shiny, new bookmobile was
parked in the driveway. The assistant curator (librarian) of the library
showed me the ever-popular Chinese version of a Harry Potter book.
