Has anyone mentioned what folks at multi-track schools do about this
problem? Not that I've done it yet, but I'm in heavy anticipation of what
you do when someone goes off-track and takes the book with them!

Thanks!

My esteemed Professor and friend, Penny Kastanis :-) shared a fun and easy
way to collect overdues with a "Tootsie Pop" Day for all patrons that had
their books returned on time. She would have to fill in the details, but
some announcement was made a few days before and all patrons that came
through with a clean record would receive a simple piece of candy.

I used this one time with Halloween candy and it was amazing what Middle
School kids will do for that extra bite of sugar!

I wish there was intrinsic motivation for all students to feel their
obligation to the library and other students, but, sometimes, I use what I
have.
