Hi CALIBers,

When I was at AASL in October and attended Joyce Valenza's session, I
learned about a site called voicethread.com that I LOVE for oral and visual
recordings. One of the many things you can use it for is booktalks. I
decided to try some, and just finished getting members of my book club to
record booktalks for the California Young Reader Medal nominees, which I
invite you to check out at: http://voicethread.com/share/25559/ . We aren't
professionals at recording, but we had fun doing it! My current plan is to
keep a blog of all our booktalks at http://linderobooks.blogspot.com/ and
add to them regularly with booktalks my students and I do. And, if you want
to find more booktalks, browse the voicethread.com site for the keyword
booktalks. You can also add comments to any voicethread you visit. So, check
