If they don't all fit the "working together" theme, they are wonderful touchstones for educators:

Miss Malarkey Leaves No Reader Behind by Judy Finchler
A Fine, Fine School by Sharon Creech
Mrs. Spitzer's Garden by Edith Pattou
Once Upon an Ordinary School Day by Colin McNaughton
Thank You, Mr. Falker by Patricial Polacco
Hooray for Diffendoofer Day by Dr. Seuss
Mrs. McBloom, Clean Up Your Classroom! by Kelly DiPucchio (at year end)
Miss Smith's Incredible Storybook by Michael Garland
Beatrice's Goat by Page McBrier
Ruby's Wish by Shirin Yim Bridges
Dear Mr. Rosenwald by Carole Weatherford
The Hard-times Jar by Ethel Smothers
More than Anything Else by Marie Bradby
Up the Learning Tree by Marcia Vaughan

I recommend your staff read "The Circuit" and "Breaking Through" by Francisco Jimenez

Subject: [CALIBK12] Books about working together

I have a principal that has asked me to compile a list of books with the common theme of "team work" or working together for the good of our students. The first book she will be starting with is The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. She is looking for books to inspire her teachers throughout the school year.

Please send me any titles that you feel will fit this theme and I will put a list together and share with anybody interested.

Thank you so much!
