Hi Kelly,
Just my 2cents, here, but I have both MP3 Players and Playaways. The MP3
players and audible.com combination give you more flexibility, i.e., you can
have more audio titles than players and change them around. The negative
side of that is that they can be time consuming. I love the Playaways
because they only require changing the battery.
I have been checking the Playaways out with a fresh battery installed and
the headphones attached. I bought a bag of headphones from Follett that I
have available when one breaks or a kid wants to buy her own (I charge $1).
I have kept the original packages because I've noticed some variation in the
players and have needed the instructions specific to each one until we've
used them more.

Subject: [CALIBK12] Another Playaway question
Those of you who use Playaways: Do the students check out the entire
package (including case and extra battery)? Or do you just give them the
unit (with lanyard attached) and earbuds?
Re: earbuds - I read the post about getting them from JetBlue, but does
anyone know of another place to get them NEW and cheap?? I looked
through the CALIB archives, but couldn't find anything. I thought there
was another post that offered an idea, but couldn't find it. Thanks.
