WOW******.here's the responses about whether an LMT can serve on site council as a teacher or not. The responses were all over the place so I'm attaching them all in a document. The result for my situation is YES; I can serve as a teacher. I teach an "elective" course with a course # given by my district. I have students every period. I provide assignments and grades. And, the teachers elected me. But it looks like each site has it's own issues to deal with. All this input provided me with the evidence I needed to be considered a teacher********..which I've always been anyway. Good luck.
