Are you a CYRM veteran? Help spread the word about the biggest and best readers' award in the world! Volunteer to sit at the CYRM booth and chat-up the program with other conference goers (talking about reading with librarians-- it doesn't get any better than that!). I desperately need some help on Friday from 11:00 to 12:30 and from 3:15 to 4:45 as I will be co-presenting the CYRM concurrent sessions. I can't be in two places at once (I tried it before and pulled a muscle). It is guaranteed to be a good time and I'll buy the coffee. We also need volunteers at all other times for breaks, lunch, stimulating conversation, etc.

If you are unfamiliar with the California Young Reader Medal (GASP!) be sure to stop by the booth for information and attend one or two of our three sessions:
CYRM Overview- Friday 11:15-12:15 (session A, all levels)
CYRM Grades 6-12- Friday 3:30-4:30 (session C)
CYRM Grades K-6- Saturday 8:00-9:00 (session D)

And don't forget the CYRM Banquet on Saturday night. Karen Hesse and Wendy Watson will be there. They will be honored for their book, The Cats of Krasinski Square. And who knows? You might receive a gift.

Contact me for more information,

Tony

I mean really, is the content of this message so profound that it bears repeating? The author is given to long-winded ramblings and everyone I know gets enough of that in their inboxes already. Sure, he's handsome, funny, and a great cook (and modest to a fault), but that doesn't mean everyone wants to read his e-mails.
