[CALIBK12] Target: American Revolution film with combat scenes

Hi Again to all calibk12 (and especially George Pilling who knows so
much about copyright laws),

Well, after I sent the notice below, a teacher talked to me about
potential copyright problems.  

I know that schools have always had the provision that a "backup copy"
of a piece of media could be created without breaking copyright laws.
So, when I read over the site info, I just thought in my mind that this
company is supplying the original and the backup.  But now I'm
questioning whether an edited version could be considered a "backup" or
is it a "new creation".  Ahhh, the laws and the lingo.  

Any thoughts?

My Library Technician just turned me on to this service.  Basically, if
you purchase the original version, they will throw in the edited (to PG
or PG13) movie for free.  Has anyone used this before and can vouch for
their service and quality?

By the by, The Patriot is in their catalog.

Hi Everyone,

One of my staff members is looking for a film that has realistic scenes
portraying the Revolutionary War. He would like it to be in the lines of
what we saw in the movie The Patriot obviously without the R rating.  If
you know of something like this, please let me know.
