Thank you all SO much for your prompt and enlightening responses to my query about General Albert Johnston's speech to his troops preceding the Battle of Shiloh! I received a veritable cornucopia of information, including the text of the entire speech from Connie Moore, the Library Media Technician at Las Colinas Middle School in Camarillo.
