[CALIBK12] starting salaries

In LBUSD, M.S. and H.S. librarians are 8 hr. employees.  The reasoning
is that we do not have to do planning, grades, preparation, etc. on our
own time as do classroom teachers.

Does anyone have information on appropriate starting salaries for
school librarians?  My school has had money budgeted to hire a librarian
for some time and has not actually hired one but is looking to do so
this year.  To start the process, my assistant principal needs an idea
of the appropriate salary to offer.
