[CALIBK12] starting salaries

In LBUSD, M.S. and H.S. librarians are 8 hr. employees.  The reasoning is that we do not have to do planning, grades, preparation, etc. on our own time as do classroom teachers.

So what is all that reading that we do constantly if it's not preparation? I'm alsolutely certain that I spend more time reading than the teachers do grading.
