[CALIBK12] Curriculum Mapping

Hello all!

 

My school is beginning to "map" the curriculum using an online software
package called TechPaths.  

 

After discussion, my dean has asked me to NOT map my curriculum.  The
reasoning is because I only teach in collaboration, my curriculum will
show up on the collaborating classroom teacher's maps and if I map it
will skew the data by basically showing the same thing twice.  I
understand the reasoning.  

 

However, I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who is involved with
curriculum mapping that can shed insight onto this.  How do you map the
library curriculum?  By mapping are you basically duplicating the work
of your collaborating colleagues?  Do you sit down with your colleagues
and map the units/lessons together?  How is this handled out there?

 

Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance.
