Hello all,
An interactive white board product we are using at El Camino High School
is the eBeam projection system by Luidia. It mounts on a whiteboard and
interacts with the computer and a video projector (purchased
separately). Their cost is around $750.

What I would recommend for high schools is a different product from
Smart Technologies (makers of the Smart Board). We have SmartBoards, but
we have also invested in AirLiner wireless slates.

While they are not as "cool" as SmartBoards, they are much, much
cheaper. You can probably use them with your existing technology (as an
example, we use them with the LCD projectors that we already own).
One decided advantage: a SmartBoard is about $3,000 and an AirLiner is
about $300. (And, for Jan, if you want to see an AirLiner in action, let
me know.) It is an apples and oranges comparison because they are so
different. However, at 10 times the cost, it is worth taking a look at
both before you make the decision.
By the way, I am purchasing an AirLiner for the library this year.
