I introduced my staff this year to JLG and I am getting great feedback. The books are always good and include non-fiction if you select that category. They also have a new graphic novels category. It is nice to get new books throughout the year. You just pay once and they come for 12 months. Their pricing is fair and their back titles are very reasonable.

Hi,
I use Jr. Library Guild and order several levels. This way I receive a
new box of book for that month. They also provide a nice color poster
of all the books at all levels, which you can hang on the wall in the
library to advertise upcoming books that will be added to the library.
The books that I receive as part of my order are always excellent
additions to our library, plus many turn out to be award winners.
Remember this is like a book of the month club, not choosing, but you
know well in advance what you are getting. Even the so called "duds",
are usually a dud because they are not appropriate for our community, so
I pass them along to one of our high schools, who are glad to receive
them.
Not only that, you can buy from their book list at a reduced price.
Good luck,

I am new to this I just heard about this from another High School
Librarian.
Have any of you had experience from ordering books from Junior Library
Guild? Apparently for a set fee, you order books from a list for a
certain month. The cost per book is supposed to be less, and you do not
have to look through a bunch of books trying to decide which books you
want. That can be good and bad.
Do you like getting books from Junior Library Guild? Are the books good
quality? Did you feel too restricted in your choices. Did you feel it
was better to get your whole shipment from a vender vs. one book a
month?
Thank you in advance for your information!
