[CALIBK12] Academic vocabulary

I think those SAT books Frankenstein and Egar Allen Poe where they actually
identify and define the words on the opposite side of the page where the
"Sat" word is used is a good idea. I don't know about transfer knowledge,
however.
We had a teacher here that would have kids pull words from their "free"
reading (20 I think) and write definitions and sentences and DESIGN a game
using those words. Some would do puzzles some would do other activities.
Then they would have game day and play their games and the invite another
class in the play their games LOTS of exposure to the words.
