[CALIBK12] weeding again

Re: [CALIBK12] Searching for old websites?First, I want to thank everyone
for their wonderful responses to my weeding query! I forgot to mention that
I'm at a high school, but everybody's advice was very useful.

As I proceed with the weeding, I am discovering that many of the spine
labels are wrong. Now, I have to let you all know cataloguing kicked my butt
this last spring, so if I can notice that the call numbers are screwy, they
must be really screwy.

So here's the question: how to fix this? During my field experience, I
encountered this occassionally and we fixed it. But this is a collection
*full* of these errors (mostly, it seems that someone somewhere along the
lines just ignored all the decimals). Since I'm not totally down with Dewey
yet, I can't really tell at a glance when things are wrong, except for when
I remember seeing something in another section and wonder why such a similar
book would be on this end. I would love some advice on how to figure out
what's right and what's wrong in an entire collection.

Thanks!
