Anne,
I work at a very busy public elementary Library in Long Beach. The Zoobooks we have are quite old but incredibly popular. Especially among the younger students due to the abundance of photographs vs. text. I've purchased National Geographic for Kids and Ranger Rick but neither of them are as popular as the Zoobooks. Hope that helps.

Dear Calib Elementary School Friends,
Based on copyright date alone (which ranges from 1997 to 2003 but is
weighted heavily in the middle of that range), I would tend to not
purchase titles in the Zoobooks series but instead favor more current
offerings. However, I have a school site that really wants these. Do
you find that these titles are popular and that the information is
current despite the older copyright dates? Is there a series you
prefer?
Thanks for the information,
Anne
