Hi Everyone,
I've experienced a minor disaster (tech glitch) and have lost the documents pertaining to the Library Aide lessons that I got at CSLA workshop a few years back. There were dewey decimal lessons and so much more. If you have these sheets and can email them that would be great, or if you can fax them that is good too.
The packet was so great! I miss it.

Subject: [CALIBK12] Regions 3 and 4 "workshops"- Oct 13 and Dec. 1 - Mark your Calendar!
Take in the NEW! The Museum of Latin American Art and the Mark Twain Branch Library both opened their NEW doors in Long Beach recently. Long Beach (Region 3) and Orange County (Region 4) will present a workshop at the library and a museum tour on October 13 to admire two new facilities. The day will begin at 10 AM at the Community Room in the Mark Twain Branch Library, with a lesson on how to use digital cameras. Coffee will be available. There is no charge for the workshop. At Noon the group will adjourn to the Museum of Latin American Art to eat lunch (no host) in the Museum Cafe before participating in a docent led tour of the new museum and Sculpture Garden. (We are working on negotiating a free entry to the museum.) Go online to check out these two beautiful facilities. The Mark Twain Branch Library can be found at (LBPL.org) 1401 E. Anaheim St. , Long Beach, CA 90813, (562) 570-1046, and a map is available on the website. MOLAA (molaa.org) is at 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach. Please RSVP to: Barbara Duffy at bduffy2038 at charter.net or 562.506.3864 by October 10.
The second celebration takes place December 1, 2007, at Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Marina Pacifica, Long Beach. This free workshop of reviews of new books will take place in the downstairs meeting area at 10 am. The group will have time to shop for gifts (yes, this will be near the Holidays) then adjourn to Tantalum for a no host lunch overlooking the Marina. If all works out (red tape, etc) we will march in the Christmas Parade in Belmont Shore that evening. There will be more time for shopping between lunch and the parade. Belmont Shore has a veritable plethora of excellent shops for your shopping pleasure.
More info to come.
