[CALIBK12] Rare books to sell

Hello Faithful Friends:

I have just begun work in a private Catholic high school library that
has not had even a "librarian" for 20 years, and has not been weeded
for...say...50. Thus far, I have gone through only the fiction, bios,
and reference area, and have come across some beautiful and-according to
abebooks.com-valuable 1st editions.

Because we are privately funded, I am legally allowed to sell these
books in order to buy more J. What I would like, ideally, is to sell the
whole bunch to a bookseller who deals in these things for one reasonable
price. I am guessing that I would have better luck in a large city (i.e.
LA, San Francisco) than here in Bakersfield.

You are all so knowledgeable! Could anyone direct me to someone like
that? I have an Excel spread sheet w/ all the authors, titles, copyright
dates, publishers, whether 1st edition, and approx. value according to
abebooks.com. Thanks in advance!
