[CALIBK12] Dewey-Less Library

Please correct me if I am wrong - but isn't Dewey set up according to
subject? And aren't the book stores set up according to subject?
Assigning a number to represent that subject is an organizational tool.
The exception would be the organization of fiction sections - our
library uses the alphabet - and bookstores use genre. But where do you
put books that might fit more than one genre? I think it is easier to
alphabetize books in fiction for quick retrieval.
I wonder what a large library would be in AZ.
