AS a former third grade teacher, I have some sense of their their
required standards and concepts. I admire their enthusiasm. However, I
do not know how that would be possible, given time commitments, unless
your school has a great many more computers than mine.
Be that as it may, it sounds like they want AR to be their reading
program as opposed to supporting a real reading program. I like AR quite
a bit, actually, but it is not instruction. I would be concerned that
using that much time for testing would take away from real classroom
direct instruction of concepts and standards.

My 3rd grade teachers are determined to have their students read and
test on 1-2 books per day! Every day! Is it just me or is this
excessive?
