It's an interesting thought. I know that I can find the English-Language
Arts or History standards by going to the California Department of
Education and getting it free. If I wanted the Library Media ones, I
would need to pay (and, yes, I already own them).

Here is something that those of us who publish in a Web 2.0 world know
(or should know): Often people who read downloaded information end up
buying the "product."

While I can see both sides of this, Janice makes a valid comment.
