Silly?
The destruction of children's desire to learn?
Raising the filling in of bubbles on tests to education's highest goal?
The mandates against creativity which might contradict scripted lessons?
No, NCLB has gone way beyond silly. For a measly 8%, the feds now demand
control over virtually every aspect of our schools. And we kowtow to that
mandate and beg for a few crumbs. Even the authors are discussing a change of name
for the program so they can slip it past the people once again. The latest
NAEP scores show that the progress being made prior to NCLB has come to a
screeching halt.
More of the same?
No, thank you.
