Check track star at www.4teachers.org  .  For the rock and minerals,  
they could do an internet scavenger hunt looking for physical and  
chemical characteristics, geographical location, etc.  For ecology,  
you could probably find some interactive balance and nature   
population simulations.  The united states post office just came out  
with the nature of america series of stamps.  If I come across some  
specific URLS, I will post them.  But, track star usually has some  
good online lessons as well as SCORE.
