[CALIBK12] Suggestions for New Library

My school district has committed to construction of a new library
building on my high school campus. The Library Media Teachers group in
my district has been enlisted to work with our district M&O planning
department to create a list of "essentials" that the library should
have, so that the building could serve as a model for what every high
school library in our district would eventually have when those sites
are modernized or reconstructed. The essential question to be answered
is what do we build now that will serve the needs of students during the
next 25 years?

 

Please reply with any thoughts and suggestions directly to me, not to
the entire ListServe. As the process is already moving forward, I will
need responses within the next two weeks. After I have a chance to share
any responses with the others in my district library group, I will
create a summary and post them to this ListServe.
