[CALIBK12] Query: Lost Book Pricing

At our school, I charge a flat fee of $10 for paperback, $20 for hardback.  That covers the cost of shipping and tax, and my time to process the books.  If the book is returned after it is marked lost, I tell the patron that I can refund their money.  Problem is, I don't keep a 'petty cash' so sometimes I have refunds readily available (if someone has recently paid for a lost book and I haven't deposited it yet) but most often I do not.  I might want to keep a small petty cash amount in the school safe for just such an occasion....
