My question is the same as Tom's.....Is there a board meeting Wed night? Is this item on the agenda? Has it been discussed at a prior meeting?
I, too, will be glad to be at the board meeting, if that is the case. And wnat about the March 15th deadline? That is past. Are you funded out of Central Unified or a categorical program like Title I?
Do you have a Teachers' Association in Central? Are they helping?
Please, we need more information!
But as one who has been there, ?I definitely want to help..

For those of us who are local, will the decision be made in a board meeting or behind closed doors? If it is a board meeting, I will be there and encourage others to do the same.

?

By the way, I happen to be a Central Unified parent.

Esteemed Colleagues,

My district Ass. Superintendant told me?that "it is 99.99% certain?your position will not be funded next year. Due to equity and budget?"

I asked for clarification, "Do you mean to tell me you will not fund my position because there are no other?elementary Library Media Teachers in the district?"?

His response was that?they wanted equity in the district.

?

So like many of you that were transfered out, that too could happen to me.

The Teague community, parents, students and?teachers ?have supported me for nearly a decade and??I feel that I owe it to them to continue the fight for a quality Library Media Program including a highly qualified Teacher Librarian.

?

Mind you, this is the same district that will keep libraries open during the summer,? Teague was NOT one of the chosen schools, even though we are the only PI5 school in the district. Where is the equilty there?

?

I will not roll over- I will go kicking and screaming- I will fight the fight.

I will not be the path of least resistance.?

?

Some sort of decision will be made Wed/Thurs.

?

So for the many of you that?I have supported in the past, through letters to the editors and phone calls on your behalf, I am now asking for the favor returned.

I am rallying the troops, call, send a fax- do what you can do!

Thank you,

@nnie Lokrantz
