[CALIBK12] Query: Looking for a 9th grade book

My ninth grade AVID teachers want one book for all of their students
to read. This would just be an outside reading book, so they want
something really fun, but still well written. Of course the kicker is
that is has to appeal to everyone. They want it cheap, so we need a
paperback. Also, they are hoping to find a book not many have already
read. The teachers are all in love with Zevin's Elsewhere right now,
but there's the worry it won't appeal to many of the boys.
