NONE of our teachers have keys to the library. We are able to open for them an hour before school starts and stay open 45 minutes after school. I will make arrangements if they need to use the library after hours, but it must be planned in advance and keys checked out, and back in. Our experience has been that if they use the library when we aren't here, things disappear - not because anyone is a theif, but because they don't know how to check out materials, and the system isn't on then anyway.

Hi all,
Do all your teachers have keys to your libraries? Is this common practice for California school libraries?
