My mother and sister (a public librarian) travel to anywhere the annual Book Expo is held. Last year they missed my daughter's high school graduation for BE in NY. In 2 years they are already planning to  miss my second daughter's graduation. Because, as they say, "We see you every week but we only see Sabuda (Robert) once a year."
One daughter had perfect attendance for high school. That is until she missed a week in Junior year by attending BE in Washington DC

I attend when it is in LA. I have autographed books from: James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Lemony Snickett, Clive Cussler, Stephanie Myer, Robert Sabuda, Mary Englebreit, Susan Jeffers, Eve Bunting, David Shannon, Neil Gaiman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jayne Seymour, etc. And the books were all free!

BE comes to LA only every 5 years or so. Don't miss it.

  They give you free books.

  The exhibits go on for miles.

  They have special rates for librarians.

  Last time they were here, the Rock Bottom Remainders played and a kid named Springsteen sat in with them.
