[CALIBK12] Character education & librarians?

I have been asked to speak to a group at an awards luncheon next week 
celebrating teachers who encompass character education in their regular teaching 
assignment.   I'm an experienced educator but brand new LMT as of this year.   Can 
anyone give me ideas or feedback about how librarians affect character 
education aside from directing students and teachers to books and materials?   I 
appreciate any feedback.
