Pendragon series by MacHale is another grabber. The Keys to the Kingdom series by Nix is good. A couple of so-so series are Spy High, & Young James Bond, some kids like them, others are "eh".
Kind of different but equally compelling to boys are the World War II themed books from Salisbury; Eyes of the Emperor, Under the blood red sun etc.

Calibbers,
I've hooked a reader and intend to keep him hooked. A few months ago after suggesting the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz the student literally jumped out of the classroom and told me he "really, really liked that book!" He must have because he read it in one night. I think I've already tried to sell him Code Orange, Jurassic Park, and a couple of others.
I'm looking for middle school titles maybe a little lower reading level.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
