[CALIBK12] Job opening - Manhattan Beach

I was born and raised in Manhattan Beach and graduated from Mira Costa H.S. I was there last year for a h.s. reunion and the campus was still very nice. The school has a great reputation (has earned the "distinguished school award").

Just be forewarned--the area is very expensive. Vacant lots in Manhattan Beach go for $1 to 2 million. We have a friend who works in Hermosa Beach and commutes from Riverside daily because his wife wanted to own their own home. (That's a long commute in traffic!)

If I were still living down there, I'd apply!

This came to me through JoEllen Misakian. Sounds like a great opportunity for someone.

Gary Hartzell is requesting help locating a TL for a superintendent friend in Manhattan Beach, CA. The school is: Mira Costa High School. Gary says the superintendent is a great supporter of school libraries. This is a new school opening in the fall, so time is of the essence.

More details will be forthcoming, but in the meantime, if any one is interested, here is what info I have at the moment: Dr. Beverly Rohrer is the superintendent. Her phone number is 310-318-7345 X 5900 and her email is brohrer at mbusd.org. The district’s website is: http://www.mbusd.org/. The school’s website: http://www.mchs.manhattan.k12.ca.us/education/school/school.php?sectionid=2

Here one can find a profile of the city: http://www.ci.manhattan-beach.ca.us/
