[CALIBK12] Technology in the Classroom

I use Smart Boards, Airliners, and Digital Viewers in most of my library
lessons. They get students excited to be part of the lesson, behavior
is better because students pay more attention, and library media
teachers can see the results when checking for understanding. Our
district, Fairfield-Suisun Unified, is big into interactive technology
and it works!

Regarding classroom responders, my school is currently piloting Quizdom
and
it rocks! I've used both the games for review and the paper-based test
function. You can have it call on students for you, you can see who's
answered and who hasn't, it's pretty amazing. I use it at least three
times
a week (I'm still partially in the classroom, so it's for my English
instruction, but it would be great for library stuff, too).

A friend of mine is doing some research on how to use some of these
items
in the classroom. Has anyone had experience using these technologies?
Suggested brands? Any good resources for application in a classroom
setting?

  Voice enhancers
  Document camera
Airliner slates (fancy wireless mouse that you can draw with)
  Classsoom Responders (kids click A, B, C, D, E as a response to a
question
and multiple choice format - get instant data)
Mimios & SMART Boards (I believe their site has lots of application
ideas)

I already suggested Library Learning 2.0 to him...:)

  Thanks!
