Does anyone use YouTube (web 2.0 technology) at the high school level?

If so, how is it used?  If possible - provide directions for usage.
Why is this likely to be of value to high school users?
What are the strengths and weaknesses.
What are the benefits and challenges.
Recommended "scholarly" sources that:
     provide a description of the technology and website
     gives historical information
