Dear Compadres: Allow me to second that! I began my [then] library media teacher credentialing classes with Fresno Pacific in Bakersfield in 1999, after I had already begun my job as a junior high school LMT. After every Saturday class, I would literally "remake" my library on Monday using the extremely practical things I'd been taught. I can't speak for the online classes (personally, I liked the face-to-face interaction with my peers, but perhaps I'm just old school...), but the information I gleaned from each FPU class, reading assignment, and writing assignment was like water to a desert wanderer--not only satisfying, but an absolute necessity! I was also blessed to have among my instructors JoEllen Misakian, Martha Rowland, and Bakersfield's own Beth Heisey. I add my unreserved endorsement of the Fresno Pacific University program.

Subject: [CALIBK12] Fresno Pacific University starts second online cohort
If you are thinking of earning your teacher librarian services credential and/or a master of arts in education (school library & information technology), Fresno Pacific University is starting its second online cohort beginning this fall. This 100% online format has been proving popular with students throughout the state.
As a student in the program, I can certainly speak to the rigor and quality. Overall, I have been quite pleased with my experience and I expect that others would be as well. If you would like to send me questions privately about my experience, please do so.
If you are interested, you would need to sign up now by contacting Jo Ellen Misakian at jmisakian at fresno.edu.
Full disclosure: As of this past spring, I teach the first course in the online program. I will do the same for this cohort.
