Don't be afraid to think outside the library -- I parked this bus in the THS library 23 years ago and it's still there......

?Quick suggestions... maybe bad, but all I can think of.

?

Dewey DDCS images/symbols?

?

Famous authors?

?

Authors and quotes about reading?

?

school's history in mural format? -- l personally like this because kids may have to research a bit, and I think they should know their school's history,

?

Famous graduates of the school -- that could be part of the previously-mentioned mural or be a separate theme.

?

I'm with Blanche on some of this...

?

Toss a few ideas you like out in the mix and encourage them to add their ideas.

?

?Take a vote. If you really don't care what goes on the walls in the end, let students decide.

?

If you do, take the reigns a bit. That's how I do things.

?

Be careful... you don't want paint on your books. You may want to decide to do this in your library when the place is not bustling with student activity. Only you can determine the best window(s) of time for such work.

?

Good luck and have fun.

Have the students been doing the other walls "on their own?" They should
give you first approval, but why not let them make suggestions for you?
