In response to Joe's last posting

The way you phrase this email it makes it sound as if AR is the  
expert. It is is not, it is a tool, that is often misused, and  
sometimes not. The expert is the teacher or the teacher librarian.  
Treating a computer program as if it is the expert is the problem with  
such programs.
I refuse to accept that AR is an expert, it provides data that must be  
interpreted, and in my experience as a librarian and as a parent who  
would like to never hear her kid say AR again, that data is can be  
misinterpreted.
