It all depends on how reliable the after-school teacher is! I had one that
turned on the checkout computer and put students on it when all the other
computer were being used, told them to shelve books (all done wrong because
she didn¹t show them how) because they were ³bored² and had ³finished² their
work. Many of my supplies went missing, mysterious stains appeared on the
floor even though they were told not to eat or drink in the library, books
were taken but not checked out (I had a paper system so they could write the
info down and I would enter it the next day), it was not a good situation
because I would have to clean up the next morning:( No one wanted this
teacher in their classroom for after school so they put her in the library!
When I would check the history on the computers I would find questionable
sites that did not even remotely seem like ³appropriate school related²
sites. I had to document all this even though this teacher had a similar
history in other classrooms before they moved her to another place!
I¹ve also had ones that not only followed all the library/school rules but
left the library neater than they found it.
I wish you luck...
