Collective Brain:
I have a health teacher who would like to better integrate literacy into her
ninth grade classroom by assigning Go Ask Alice as a reading project. She is
concerned, however, about parts of it being too explicit (it's been a while
since either of us has read it, but we seem to remember some graphic sex,
perhaps?) and was hoping I might know an alternative that deals with the
same subject with less detail. I told her I'd ask you all for your wisdom.
Any ideas?
Also, anyone know teachers who have used this in the classroom before, for
health or otherwise? Tips? Warnings?
I will post a HIT in a couple days.
Thanks!
