[CALIBK12] Help with a PowerPoint question

Oh great and knowledgeable colleagues,

I have been trying to help a music teacher who wants to show her  
students' PowerPoint projects which contain sound. The sound files are  
from the standard collection that comes with Office 2003. Students  
have created their PowerPoint shows with these sound clips but we  
cannot get the sound to play on the teacher computer. She would like  
to play them for the class over the connected projector and sound  
system. I went to the Tools/Options/General menu on a student computer  
to increase the file size for audio to be embedded instead of linked,  
but the file will still not play. Do the students need to re-insert  
the audio files after this change? I understand the need to put sound  
and video files in the same folder as the presentation, but that is  
not practical for this type of assignment when students have already  
created their presentations. Interestingly, one or two of the sound  
files play, but most do not.
