Media Literacy Through Media Production
http://tinyurl.com/38fgx9

One-hour Web Conference with Melissa Jensen - $109.95

Media Literacy study for elementary and secondary students is
becoming more prominent in provincial and state curricula documents.
To develop media literacy skills, students need opportunities to
view, analyze, and discuss a range of media texts, and relate them to
their personal experiences. Equally important is the need for
students to apply their thinking to the creation of media texts using
available technologies.

In this session, focusing on the creation of media texts, two
projects will be highlighted. The first one uses stop film animation
using digital photography and the Window’s program Movie Maker. The
second project is the creation of READ posters to promote the love of
reading using Macromedia’s Fireworks program to develop basic photo
editing skills. Both of these projects meet a range of media literacy
curriculum expectations.

These hazards and disorders not only result in pain and discomfort,
but they also increase costs, reduce productivity, and may lead to

Management vs Leadership – Which Is It?
http://tinyurl.com/2mjs3y
One-hour Audio Conference with Julie Todaro - $85.00

What is the difference between management and leadership? Many
believe the difference between managers and leaders is the way they
motivate the people who work or follow them, and this sets the tone
for most other aspects of what they do.

Good managers are called upon to be both – switching roles as the
situation demands. This session will define both roles and talk about
recognizing and developing them.
