Help Wise Ones!

I have a 10th grade biology teacher who wants 20-25 fiction books that her students can read & report back on in class.  Possible topics might include cloning (e.g. House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer), genetic engineering (e.g. Double Helix by Nancy Werlin).  Many students are ELL, so varying reading levels would be great.  Please send me any suggestions off-line, and I'll be happy to post a HIT.
