"Picturing America" could be a good curriculum connection with Language
Arts, Social Studies, Fine Arts, and the Library.
For CSLA members who are now on the ever-growing CSLA 2.0 Team, how
could the program be enhanced via web 2.0 tools? See below.

Subject: [calix] Grant Opportunity "Picturing America"
Please excuse if this is a duplicate posting.
Posting from Ralph Lewin of the California Council of the Humanities:
The National Endowment for the Humanities has contacted me about a new
initiative they have that might interest you and your colleagues. The
initiative is called "Picturing America" and it hopes to provide people
with a way to learn about our nation's heritage through art. Libraries
and schools are the main target for this program, which will be launched
at the end of February. Attached to this program is an opportunity for
a grant to receive 40 high quality reproductions of art and curriculum.
The url is: http://picturingamerica.ala.org/
Please feel free to forward this to colleagues that you think might be
interested.
